Food and service are always good. My wife and I go there quite often. Our one time neighbor is a co-owner. He usually comes over to visit with us, if he's there.
Cool little bar and hamburger place nice vibe for sure the staff was really friendly and at first I was upset the burgers looked really small but they were super thick and handmade the only thing that I was not happy about was my order of onion rings only had 5 onion rings in it they were really good just hardly any in it for $3.99 extra
Although the setup is weird (read the other reviews), the food was great! We arrived just before the lunch rush, which was good because the line was out the door by the time we left!
Great spot in Metropolis near the Superman statue. I usually come here before or after I hit up Harrah's. Used to be a Fast Eddie's of the Alton variety years ago. They've kept a similar ordering style with a central ordering point and self pick up. A little pricier but without the drink minimum. My service was awesome at the bar. Plenty of big screens for football Sunday! Chill vibes and great food. Highly recommend.
Simple unpretentious eatery with a limited menu. But, what they have, they do very well. Best damn smash burger I've ever eaten!!!
I can't speak for the food, as we were just in for a quick happy hour before dining across the street (though I am pretty sure I tried the food many years ago while passing through and thought it was good). A nice, old-school bar with friendly staff and fair prices. Great, clean divey bar feel with baseball and the olympics on the tube, good music on rotation, and great drink options and prices. I had a beer hug tall draft, my wife a vodka tonic. A nice place to sit and beat the summer heat.
This is a unique restaurant you order food and pay for food where you order. When you sit down you order your beverage and you pay at the table for this. The night we went I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and my wife had the California Chicken salad. The salad was fully loaded with a mix of greens and a delicious raspberry vinaigrette. The Philly was grilled fresh on a grill.and was an ample sandwich. We also had an order of Onion Rings which were hot and fresh. One of my favorite aspects of this place are the separate condiment table. All Heinz products mustard,ketchup, and mayonnaise. This is my favorite restaurant in Metroplis, Illinois. Ambience is similar to a rustic old fashioned bar and grill. The staff is always great and the food prices are very reasonable.
Stopped in on Eclipse day for some shrimps! Walk in, pick your choosing and order up. Once you've ordered, have a seat order your drink and wait for your number to be called. Shrimp is amazing.....They did not disappoint. Fresh, delicious and with every cent. The buffalo chicken dip and corn nuggets were all very tasty. Drink service is a little slow but overall worth the drive.
